UWA Winthrop Professor, Ted Snell, has responded with concern over the recently published Talking Points report, commissioned by the Australia Council for the Arts, to provide a ‘snapshot’ of the Australian contemporary visual arts scene:  A report, that Prof Snell says, ignores just over a quarter of Australia’s public art collections, with only one reference to our 42 university art galleries and museums and no interviews with any of their professional staff - “it’s hard to imagine how any mapping of the cultural terrain of Australia could ignore such a significant topographical feature”.  See the full article in THE CONVERSATION http://theconversation.com/you-are-ignoring-university-art-collecti...  [6 June 2014]
